Nick’s journey into woodworking began in 2016 inside a two-car garage in Sherrills Ford, NC, just 45 minutes north of Charlotte. Working as a Realtor at the time—which inspired the “Homes” in Homes And Tables—Nick started building finished tables and benches with his wife, Jenna, to supplement their income.

He instantly fell in love with the craftsmanship and the process of bringing raw materials to life. As local demand rapidly grew, Nick took the leap to pursue woodworking full-time. Driven by a mission to bring high-quality, handmade furniture into people's homes, the couple built a dedicated shop in 2018.

Over the next few years, Homes And Tables operated as a successful local custom furniture shop, crafting fully customizable, finished table sets. Customers would frequently drive from several states away just to visit the shop and see the exceptional quality in person, prior to ordering.

When the world paused in 2020 and travel stopped, foot traffic naturally disappeared. Knowing they had to adapt, Nick and Jenna pivoted. They took their most popular table base designs and began selling them online as "unfinished" DIY kits.

The response was overwhelming. As their own family grew with the arrival of their children, they decided to go all-in on the online business. Today, under Nick's leadership in their focused, small-production woodshop, Homes And Tables operates as a thriving family-run brand.

They ship foundational, handcrafted pieces directly to customers' doors across the country, all while maintaining the exact same passion for craftsmanship that started it all.
